WORK IN PROGRESS: The Cocoon Retreat is an Airbnb style temporary housing design being developed for a Young Architects Competition. Modular in nature, the Cocoon retreat is being designed to be customizable and moveable to adjust to a multitude of sites in the French countryside. The idea is to emphasize the importance of being in the outdoors and an appreciation of the site in which this building lands. This is explored through negative spaces pushed and pulled in the foot print. A machine-spun monofilament facade is meant to catch the sun and invoke curiosity for what is beyond.
