Head for the Hills

Quarantine chairs derived from found materials. Produced for a Furniture Design course instructed by Thomas Oliphant, the Head for the Hills Side Chairs draw inspiration from the surrounding driftless wilderness where I spent my COVID-19 outbreak social distancing. Materials used: rebar fence posts, fire wood, scrap plywood, wood pallet. Charred wood finish came from a happy, yet catastrophic, accident when the wood accidentally became engulfed in flames while heating the rebar to be bent.
