McKin's Pottery Wheel

My partner, McKinley, expressed interest in picking up throwing again. Wanting to help make that interest into a reality,  I took to the internet to see how much pottery wheels cost and where to get one. To my surprise, they were far out of my budget, and that's when I turned to building our own from scratch. This work in progress has been a great puzzle testing what I know about gear ratios, electric wiring, and engineering. All non-electric pieces have been fabricated and designed by me, for McKinley to hopefully one day soon be able to throw clay on a custom wheel.
